Parks and waterfalls
The majority of regional parks and forests along the Great Ocead Road allow you to bring dogs with you, assuming that they’re on leads. Take your four-legged friend for a relaxing (or challenging!) walk through the Otways lush rainforest and visit some of the breathtaking waterfalls. For instance, the 20-metre-high Beauchamp Falls is very impressive after a somewhat strenuous walk there, while Carisbrook Falls can be reached via an easy 10-minute walk. It doesn’t matter how fit/old you and your dog are – there’s a waterfall trek to suit everyone in the Otways!
Beaches
When it comes to dog-friendly beaches, you can’t beat Marengo Beach in Apollo Bay. Marengo Beach is a leash-free beach which is a short walk away from the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, our dog-friendly pub and restaurant. How convenient is that?
