Who let the dogs out… to go beer, wine or cider tasting?! A better question is, “who let the dogs in?”. If you are looking for Dog-Friendly places along the Great Ocean Road, then keep on reading…

Tastes of the Region is a Dog-Friendly Great Ocean Road tasting room in Apollo Bay. Dogs are not only allowed inside the Tastes of the Region building, but there is also a “Dog Wall of Fame” to hang up a free polaroid of every dog entering the doors. A brilliant way to honour the canine patrons and give their owners something to boast about over a pint or two. The Great Ocean Road Brewhouse next door also offers a dog-friendly beer garden overlooking the Apollo Bay foreshore.

How many dog-friendly tasting rooms and restaurants do you know that serve their own dog beer?! At Tastes of the Region and the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, we serve “Beerdog’s Bitter”, a special alcohol-free brew which is designed to appeal to the taste buds of dogs, mimicking the taste of a pint but without giving Fido a nasty hangover!

Chances are pretty high your furry friend will be showered with affection by staff and fellow patrons. The staff always keeps water bowls and dog beer on hand so your pooch doesn’t have to miss out on the palate-pleasing action. We want our four-legged customers to feel just as comfortable as our two-legged customers!

We want to make the Great Ocean Road a dog-friendly place! Bring your dog along and enjoy local beer, wine and cider tastings, plus a fantastic selection of local produce.
